South Sudan information report

We have been learning to write information reports in writing. We have also been learning at South Sunday for Lent. Here is an information report I have written. 

South Sudan
Introduction
South Sudan has many countries surrounding it. It was surrounded by Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Congo and central Africa. English is the official language. South Sudan was made after Civil war. And the newest country in 2011 many experts or should I say Geologists believe that the landscape migration in South Sudan is the second largest in the world! And Around 27,000 sadly were separated from their families during the war after that they happily found their families again. Children at the age of 6 learn to read, write, speaking English, art, maths, and the environment and only four south Sudanese adults read and write

Working and Resources
South Sudan is rich in oil with Sudan’s Help. Selling Oil. The two countries struggle to agree on sharing the Oil. Many South Sudanese are most often Farmers. The South Sudanese farmers grow a type of crop named Sorghum also such as Rice and Corn, South Sudan is also rich in resources these resources are called Wood, Nuts, and many others. Many other south Sudanese are known to carve wood and The fish are found in Rivers (Obviously). Oil is the most important resource. Other South Sudanese are moving to cities to work in hospitals or Schools.

Playing
The south Sudanese also love to sing and dance. They also bring Music to Celebrate Events. Types of Fitness they Loved was Boxing, Basketball and volleyball.Soccer was also known in South Sudan, Even National Parks Offer Hiking Trails or maybe have a chance to see Animals and Wildlife, During the evening Children Listen to stories or play outside with friends. When it is very Hot and dry Families Listen to Radios and some others watch Television.

Food
Fish is known in river Groups. Those who have Livestock eat Beef, Lamb and even drink Milk. Stew and Porridge our Common in South Sudan. Ful medames is a Stew with mashed beans and spices, Sorghum porridge is called Asida. Asida is served with meat and vegetables. Kisra is just a flatbread with other meals inside, Bananas, Papayas, and Mangoes are sweet snacks in south Sudan. Karkade is a well known south Sudanese beverage.

Holidays
South Sudanese like national holidays. They celebrate their own first independence day at July 9, 2011. People gather to cheer, dance, and even wave at their countries new flag. On July 30, The south Sudanese Light candles to honour those who were fighting for Sudan, While the country Leaders give speeches in their memories.
After the peace agreement as said in 2005, southern Sudanese has six years if they wanted independence. In 2011, Independence day was made

The Flag
The flag of South Sudan was adopted in 2005. which followed the sign of the Peace Agreement. That ended the Second South Sudanese Civil War. A similar version was Used before as the flag of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement. For a fact the flag is actually Older than the Country Itself. The Colours also mean something. The black stripe  represents the African people, The red Stripe is there to represent the blood that was shed during south Sudan's independence movement.the green stripe stand for the nations natural wealth and wonders and the white fimbriations represents the peace that
Has come in the aftermath of the nations struggles

PBL term 1

PBL - Term 1

This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about kindness and the big question was: How can we build community through our actions?

First, we explored some collaborative activities and discussed how we could include kindness and build a sense of community through our actions at camp. Next, we were organised into groups where we had to unpack the above question. In our groups we considered how we could spread community and kindness through our entire school community. We decided that we would offer something that was free and would make others happy.

We created an action plan and created an Art Club  for the children in Paiaka Hub. We interviewed people in our Hub to see if they liked that idea. Many people did.

Reflection: 
For our final product our group we invited Paiaka up to our hub and held an art club during lunch and morning tea. We made comics, bookmarks and drawings.

How did our action build a sense of community in the school? By letting other kids from Paiaka Hub get to know us better and get better at drawing

I contributed by Helping others and by
making fun activities and asked Paiaka Hub how they felt about Art Club

I think the PBL might impact on others by making them have fun and this make them feel happy.

What I learned about Art club was making Paiaka kids join in and have fun.
