MY CULTURE

 Hello we will be learning about my family culture
                                                                                                                                                              What  food are  there in the Philippines : chicken adobo, Balut,Kare Kare,Kinilaw,SINIGANG,Paksiw na lechon (means:married lechon),Tapsilog,halo halo,Buko,Rum

What festivals are there  in the  Philippines: Ati-Atihan festival,Sinulog,Dinagyang Festival,Panagbenga Festival,Moriones Festival,Aliwan festival,Pahiyas Festival,Pintados Festival,Kadayawan Festival(BANNED),and last but not least MassKara Festival
What was the philippines famous for?:The country was known for its variety of life  as it's tourist attraction. The beaches,towns,monuments,mountains,islands,rainforests,diving spots. Are among the countries popular destinations. Why is the philippines a tropical country:about the philippines. The philippines is a group of islands found in Southeast Asia in the Western pacific.               
                                                                                                                                                          The philippines was separated into  Three groups of island These island groups our Luzon,Visayas, and mindanao. Luzon’s islands Also luzon,Palawan,Mindoro,Marinduque,Masbate,Romblon ,Catanduanes,Batanes and Polillo                                               

Project Based Learning and The Arts

This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about cultural stories and the big question was;
What is the significance in the 21st Century of our Cultural stories?
First we brainstormed what culture is and came up with lots of ideas.  Culture is the food, traditions and celebrations that people have.
Then we thought about our own culture and talked to our parents about our traditions and heritage. I wrote a post about my family and things we like to do.
In Literacy we read and discussed myths and legends from around the world then we concentrated on Maori legends. I read Filipino  legends I have written my own Filipino legend in my own words.
We made a performance about the story Battle of the Mountains. Some students wrote the script, some students took on the job of making all the artwork, some worked hard on organising the music and others took on the role of bringing the story alive with dance and drama.

Reflection:For our production is that, I was one of the Chorus.
For our production I contributed by making Art. I made stars for the play.
I think the show might impact on others by making the show alive
What I learned about working with others was great because it makes thing easier.

Swimming

Hello my name is Gio, I was in the lowest group of swimming cause i was very bad at swimming. I was very scared of jumping in the deep pool even with a life jacket, I Jumped after some guidance and after that i enjoyed it. On Friday, It was Pyjama day, But since I felt weird feelings I sank, well It was hard to stay up while swimming.
